About

Hey I'm Laura, the owner of The Little Portrait Pod based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

I am not going to sit here and write the old cliche 'I started this business when I had my own children and fell in love with photography', it goes way further back than that. 

​

I studied photography at college and university and always had a strong passion for portraiture, however it did deepen when I started my own family at the end of 2019. I now have two lovely little girls that have me running round in circles. As so many of us do, I have an iPhone full of tons of images, however I was always striving for a clean cut, non busy corner of my house to take some snaps of the kids. 

​

That's where the idea of The Little Portrait Pod came along, an all white studio in my home garden, minimal timeless and classic.

​

I aim to create a calming, relaxed environment to photograph the excitement of an expectant family, the delicate innocence of a newborn  or the warmth and togetherness of a family portrait.
